After decades abroad and a career that took her to over 50 countries - Nathalie returned to the place that has always felt like home: Provence.

Interviewing presidents, exploring emerging markets, and writing for some of the world’s leading publications, Nathalie built a life around curiosity, culture, and connection. Today, with a global mindset and deep local roots, she works closely with owners and concierges across the region to ensure every Provence Holidays guest enjoys a seamless, exceptional stay. Behind each arrival is a carefully built partnership, and Nathalie’s attention to detail helps turn beautiful properties into meaningful experiences.

A career shaped by people, places, and partnerships

“It’s a balance between standardising expectations and treating each case with the individual attention it deserves,” she says. “We all share the goal of excellence.”

Nathalie’s role at Provence Holidays focuses on partnerships - developing strong working relationships with both property owners and concierges. Having joined Provence Holidays in 2021, Nathalie transitioned into her more specialised role after the 2024 season. Her background is as international as they come: she began her career working for a US firm in Paris and Madrid before moving into editorial work, producing economic reports for major publications including Forbes and the New York Times magazine.

Her work took her across the globe - from corporate boardrooms to presidential interviews - and her passion for travel has never faded. Highlights include tracking gorillas in Rwanda, discovering the biodiversity of Panama, and exploring the landscapes and cultures of South America. “Travel has shaped every part of my life,” she reflects, “but Provence has always been home." Born in Provence, she returned after thirty years abroad to be closer to family. She now brings her global perspective to a local mission: helping every guest feel the magic of the region she knows so well.

Montbrun-les-Bains

Nathalie’s must-do experience? A guided hike or 4x4 safari in the Camargue.

“Few places have such a distinctive identity,” she explains. “Shaped during the era of Napoleon III, the Camargue still feels wild and untouched - with white horses, pink flamingos, guardian herdsmen, and vast marshlands.”

From the beaches and rice fields to the iconic towns of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer and Aigues-Mortes, this is a region unlike any other. Best visited in May, June, or September, the Camargue offers guests an unforgettable encounter with one of southern France’s most unique landscapes.

Favourite property for views and calm | Mas de Saint-Jean, Céreste

Céreste, The Luberon | 12 people | 6 bedrooms | 6 bathrooms

“You can feel its comfort straight away - and the setting is simply spectacular,” says Nathalie.

Tucked into the hills near Céreste, this six-bedroom villa offers exceptional views across The Luberon Valley. Set near a forest and surrounded by Provençal countryside, this villa invites long, slow days. “If I were staying here for a week, I’d start the morning walking through the nearby trails and spend the rest of the day exploring the hilltop villages,” she says. “In June and July, the surrounding lavender fields are unmissable.”

Nathalie's favourite villages and local spots

Nathalie’s choice for a village close to her heart is Montbrun-les-Bains – a place she remembers fondly from childhood. Perched on a hillside and known for its natural thermal springs, Montbrun-les-Bains is a peaceful, lesser-visited destination at the edge of the Drôme Provençale. The approach through fields of lavender and golden wheat in early summer is a sensory experience in itself, and the village’s medieval architecture and mountain views offer a rewarding arrival.

“It felt far away back then, like a hidden world beyond Sault,” she recalls. “Driving there in early summer, with the scent of broom, wheat, and lavender in the air, is pure magic.”

Nathalie also recommends a few lesser-known favourites where art, food, and landscape come together beautifully:

Ménerbes

“Salon de Thé Chez Auzet is always a treat – incredible pastries with a view that stretches forever.”

This elegant hilltop village in The Luberon is known for its historical charm and slow Provençal rhythm. From the fortified walls to the scenic cafés, Ménerbes invites quiet exploration. The Salon de Thé Chez Auzet, set on a panoramic terrace, is a favourite spot for locals and visitors alike - perfect for a peaceful afternoon overlooking the valley with something sweet in hand.

Bonnieux

“Fondation Blachère is a great space for contemporary African art and creative exhibitions.”

Just outside this picturesque Luberon village, the Fondation Blachère offers a unique artistic perspective, with rotating exhibitions focused on contemporary African creators. It is a striking contrast to the ancient setting of Bonnieux, which itself is a beautiful place to explore - from its cobbled streets to its twin churches and iconic cypress-lined views.

Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade

“Château La Coste’s trail of art and architecture is world-class - and their six restaurants are all worth visiting.”

Located just north of Aix-en-Provence, this sprawling wine estate is home to an open-air museum of art and architecture, featuring works by the likes of Tadao Ando and Tracey Emin. For Nathalie, the combination of vineyard walks, cultural installations, and exceptional dining makes it an unmissable experience - one that captures the elegance and creativity of modern Provence.

We hope you have enjoyed discovering Nathalie’s journey - from navigating global boardrooms and remote landscapes to refining villa stays right here in Provence. With a rare mix of international perspective and local expertise, she brings care, clarity, and character to every guest experience.

À bientôt,

Nathalie
